The efforts to kick-start the negotiations toward a hostage deal with Hamas resumed this week, following a long period of stalemate. Let's hope it doesn't turn out that the contacts are again taking place in a format of "full speed in neutral," as the saying goes, which is what happened during the recent wasted months, since the completion of the first deal at the end of last November.
