Whole grains contain fibres that reduce cholesterol, and prevent heart diseases and diabetes.

Here are some whole grains that reduce blood sugar levels:

Barley: It is high in beta-glucan which aids blood sugar management and reduces bad cholesterol.

Oat bran: Besides soluble fibre, Oat bran is also rich in magnesium and protein. 

Amaranth: Amaranth is a highly nutritious cereal with enormous protein content.

Ragi: Ragi lowers bad cholesterol and is good for people with diabetes. 

Jowar: Packed with Vitamin K1, Jowar prevents, blood sugar spike and blood clotting.
