should just remove it completely. no point in it.

sounds like a decent upgrade but i'd feel bad ditching my 12 pro max. it hasn't let me down yet. the battery health is at 89% so i could get another year out of it easily and probably another year after that if i paid apple to replace the battery.

i was set on buying the 15 Pro Max but might see if I can hold off until the 16 lol.

All of these things will be nice improvements, EXCEPT for the solid state buttons. The home button on the iPhone 7 was complete garbage, and bringing that back is a huge step backwards; unless Apple has made huge advancements with the technology. I'm not thrilled about the mute button either, but as I don't mute my phone that often, it's not a huge deal. We'll see how many people unknowingly mute or unmute their phones to see how that turns out. I keep having this thought of someone at a funeral, who thinks their phone is muted, but accidentally hits the button, and in the middle of it, their phone starts ringing some annoying song.

I wonder if it will be a programmable action button, similar to the Apple Watch Ultra.

All of these features sound great - I wish I could get it before my vacation in early September to get better vacation photos!

Fantastic! Someone explain what I will be able to do with this that I can't iPhone 13 Pro or 14 pro. They are really grasping a straws to get that £££ off people

Just like every single year this seems like a very compelling upgrade to me. Go iPhone!

Can't wait. The iPhone 14 Pro is the worst phone Apple has ever produced. It's a buggy disaster and I cannot wait to swap mine out.

When it comes to a mute function, how could a button be considered better than a switch? I'm sure they'll build in software functions to help minimize accidental button pushes so that will help.

MR you forgot the imminent price increase! It's a feature as well isn't it?

pericope lens is one thing i'm looking forward to.

"iPhone 15 Pro models will feature a USB-C port..."

It's terrible that they gave in on this. Companies like Apple no longer have the freedom to innovate.

Why is there no point in it? It's an easy way to quickly mute the iPhone, especially when you accidentally forgot to turn it off during a show.

pericope lens is one thing i'm looking forward to.

I hope it'll be on the iPhone 15 Pro model. The Pro Max size, if history is tells anything, is just too big for me.

Really?? Strange. Mine has been perfect. Great battery life, performance is very good like they all have been. I wonder how common your experience is compared to the 14 or the 14 Pro Max or to previous generations.

That will be sweet of it works well. Hopefully they will be able to get that into the non-max ones in the future for those of us who don't do big phones.

Artificially capping the transfer speed of any phone in 2023 to a standard released in 2000 is shameful. Even if it's a hardware limitation, it says a lot that Apple would forgo the hardware to bring it up to USB 3.0/3.1/3.2/4.0. Nothing more to say other than it's disappointing coming from a great company.

Exactly at least move regular up one speed Tier and Pro more.

Accidentally dropped my iPhone 6S outside last night while taking mountain biking stuff in. After searching the house for ages while making it beep with Find My, I finally found it. Even though it has no IP rating it survived again! Only needs to survive about another 6 months and it's iPhone 15 Pro time for me...

No support for Apple Pencil?

Apple, first remove that terrible notch and design proper battery charging speed....

I own iPhone since iPhone 4S, but more and more I'm getting annoyed on:

The 14 Pro is a beast. Very stable and great overall performance. The best iPhone that I ever had except for the camera setup. I liked the 11 pro camera lenses better. But I don't care that much about photography. So no sweat.
