If you prefer more muted — but still beautiful — controllers, Microsoft has just debuted the new Nocturnal Vapor Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller.

Microsoft has decided to celebrate this random Tuesday be showcasing the new, darkly smoky Nocturnal Vapor Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller, which is available to preorder now. Check it out in all its glory below.

The Nocturnal Vapor Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller is available to preorder now

First, the key bits: you can preorder this new special edition controller now. It's priced at $69.99/£64.99, and is available from April 9.

The controller itself has an interestingly muted, swirly look. Microsoft says it's made up of light and dark green colors, but those images also give it a smoky, almost dark grey look in places. "Inspired by nature at night, every color swirl is an expression of that expansive landscape with a design that's unique to each controller - each with its own energy and pattern," says Xbox accessories senior product marketing manager Daniel Ruiz. The controller also features "rubberised green diamond-pattern grips" and up to 40 hours for its battery life, as well as all the usual features: a 3.5mm audio jack, share button, and more.

If you're looking for something much more in-your-face with your Xbox setup, you could have a go at winning this terrifying limited edition SpongeBob SquarePants Xbox Series X bundle.
