'Purple aliens': Extraterrestrial life may not be green, reveals study

Scientists at the Carl Sagan Institute at Cornell state that we might not be focusing on the right color in our pursuit to find life on other planets.

Back in 2013, NASA published a piece that suggested that we expand our current focus to include other colors, but that hasn't happened yet, and no one thought of purple. Until now.

Thus far, we have not found signs of life on other planets though scientists have found 5,500 worlds that circle other stars. A couple, even, orbit around a star at the appropriate distance, so they could have life-giving properties such as water. And what are the signs of life?
