Greensboro Field Operations crews started salting and plowing primary roads in the city overnight. Moore says the second shift crew just arrived and will continue to both plow and spread salt throughout today and overnight.

Moore says they are trying to get as much of the snow off of the roads as possible while temperatures warm a little today and the sun is out before it refreezes overnight.

Moore says people may notice as they are plowing the snow, that it may be pushed into people's driveways during the process. He is encouraging folks to get out today and clear their driveways while they can before we have a refreeze tonight.

"People should not attempt to drive in these conditions," State Transportation Secretary J. Eric Boyette said. "Our crews are working around the clock to treat and clear roads as quickly as possible and we need everyone else to do their part and stay off the roads."
