The chef who had a fling with Daisy May Cooper is revelling in rumours she's set to star in James Bond, boasting to friends 'now I can tell my grandkids I've s****** a Bond Girl'.

Ryan Weymouth had a five-month whirlwind romance with the actress shortly after the collapse of her marriage to husband Will Weston in July 2021.

He's currently working on board a super yacht moored in the Caribbean and won't return to the UK until next month.

However he keeps in regular contact with his nearest and dearest and has been discussing reports linking Never Mind The Buzzcocks star Daisy, 36, with the iconic role of 'M' in the next James Bond movie.

His brother Joe, who lives with him in the village of Chiddingfold near Godalming in Surrey, told MailOnline: 'I met Daisy a few times and she's really cool, very funny as you'd expect, but also very chilled.

'She got myself and a mate some tickets for a recording of Buzzcocks last year. We met her afterwards and had a bit of a chat.

Since the split, Daisy has undergone a body transformation, losing several stones in weight

'She came to see Ryan a few times and stayed in the local pub. She was really grounded, she knows where she's come from and not pretentious in the slightest.'

Speaking about her potential career defining role, he continued: 'Now she could become a big Hollywood star what with her being linked to playing 'M' in the new James Bond film.

'We were joking about it this morning on the WhatsApp group. Ryan said that at least now he can boast to his grandkids s******* a Bond Girl.'

Joe went on to explain how Daisy has a permanent reminder of his brother, while also revealing the pair's relationship ended on good terms - despite reports at the time he thought they would get married.

He adds: 'Daisy and Ryan had a good few months together. She actually got my brother's name tattooed on her finger - I couldn't tell you why.

'They're both quite impulsive which I think is why they made such a good couple. It's a shame it didn't last. Ryan was upset initially but their split was very amicable. I think they still speak to each other as friends.

'He's doing really well at the moment - he's working on a super yacht in the Caribbean and won't be back home until next month.'

The former couple tied the knot in 2019 but their marriage only lasted two years, with the stresses of the pandemic blamed for their break-up just ten months after Jack was born.

In September 2022, she addressed the split in an interview with The Times, saying: 'Will is amazing, an incredible, incredible dad - but fundamentally, there wasn't real love there, I don't think there ever was, really.'

Since the split, Daisy has undergone a body transformation, losing several stones in weight.

The star, who found fame writing and starring in BBC comedy This Country alongside brother Charlie, proudly posted pictures on social media and, most notably, last month's Brit Awards when she presented a gong on stage alongside writing partner Selin Hizli.

However, speaking to Grazia in October, Daisy revealed her weightloss was met with a high volume of trolling.

'I'm so for body positivity but when I was at my biggest I was at my most miserable and I had a massive food addiction,' she said.

'I wasn't healthy. I couldn't breathe when I was walking up the stairs. I was so unhappy.'

Relationship: Daisy and Ryan sparked engagement speculation in March when she wore a ring on her wedding finger while they arrived on the set of her BBC series Rain Dogs in Bristol

'And I've had some messages like, 'Well, now you've lost the weight you're not funny any more.' What the f***? Why do women have to be f***ing fat to be funny?

'That makes me so angry. I champion anybody. I think everybody should be happy with their body. But I wasn't.'

Daisy hinted she lost weight by going on the Keto diet, which drastically reduces carbohydrate intake.

In a now deleted Instagram post last year, she wrote: 'Anyone else doing keto? My mate Sarah and my da suggested I give it a try and I'm shocked at how quickly weight is dropping off.'

The Sun revealed this week that comedy actress Daisy was in talks to play spy chief 'M' in the next James Bond movie, a role previously played by acting heavyweights Dame Judi Dench and Ralph Fiennes.

It's believed Brit writer Phoebe Waller Bridge, a script consultant for the 007 franchise, wants to add a comedy edge to the upcoming film, which is likely to also have a new James Bond at the helm with Daniel Craig set to depart.

A source told the publication: 'Daisy is a close pal of Phoebe, whose involvement in Bond was such a success that it sparked an unlikely conversation.

'Suddenly the production team were getting excited about the prospect of really taking 'M' in a different direction.

'With Daniel leaving, it seemed the time to start looking at changes across the board and the dynamic between Bond and 'M' is at the heart of the films.

'So this opens the door to it being a bit lighter and more comedic going forwards — and will of course impact the direction the new 007 goes in too.'
