CHESHIRE will have its first hot air balloon festival this summer, with world class musicians and tv personalities also set to appear.
Organisers of the popular Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta have today announced a brand new three-day Hot Air Balloon festival, Cheshire Balloon Fiesta, at Bolesworth Castle near Tattenhall, which will be taking place from August 4 to 6, 2023.
The venue in the heart of Cheshire is typically a site for internationally renowned equestrian events and music festivals, and promises to be a wonderful backdrop for the first Cheshire Balloon Fiesta.
The action-packed family friendly weekend will include mass Hot Air Balloon launches, iconic tethered balloons, and spectacular night glow displays lighting up the evenings. The expert Hot Air Balloon crews will launch each morning and evening across the weekend, weather permitting. Visitors will be able to stay for the entire three days with camping available on site, weekend and day tickets are also available.
A star-studded line-up of musicians is confirmed, including singer Heather Small, Sister Sledge, and entertainers for all ages, including Andy and the Odd Socks, Dick and Dom and YolanDa's Band Jam, with more to be announced in due course.

Activities across the weekend will include a fun fair, famous TV character meet and greets, and the world's largest inflatable assault course. The fiesta's spectacular firework finale will be on Sunday evening with a full schedule announced closer to the event.
Balloon Fiestas Ltd, have owned and run the Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta since 2017. The event has grown into a regional success with over 60,000 visitors last year. The company's expansion into Cheshire follows the news that the Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta will take place at the iconic Castle Howard in North Yorkshire for the first time this year.
