Michael Beale has revealed that Rangers are holding discussions with Bayern Munich over a permanent move to Ibrox for Malik Tillman.

The 20-year-old has shown his best form since Beale stepped into the hot seat and has been handed a return to the starting line-up by the boss as Rangers face off against Dundee United today. Beale has now revealed that sporting director Ross Wilson is in contact with the German giants over making the loan agreement permanent as with the Scottish Premiership club holding a £5million option for a permanent deal.

Bayern could offer the USA international a second chance in the first-team after Thomas Tuchel the former Chelsea and PSG boss took over from axed Julian Nagelsmann, but Rangers are keen to keep the player beyond the end of the current campaign. Asked if there was a chance of a permanent move for Tillman on the cards by the BBC, Beale said: "Ross (Wilson) is away in the background speaking to Bayern.

"They have obviously had a change of coach, but we want to activate the clause that we got. There are discussions about that, but he has been really good for us. He has been injured of late but it's nice to see him, Todd (Cantwell) and Ryan (Kent) playing together."
