This year's budget was all about pensions and childcare, but, as with any fiscal announcement, the less cheerful news was buried. Here's what you might have missed.

The chancellor dangled some back-to-work carrots for pension savers and parents, but the stick is imminent. Increases to the state pension age are likely to be brought forward, forcing millions to push back their retirement plans. It may only be a matter of weeks before we hear an announcement. As well as having to wait longer for your state pension, you may also have to wait longer to access your private pension savings. This will make it more difficult for people to stop working early.
