TikToker Mizzy charged with breaching criminal behaviour order

A TikTok star has appeared in court after he was charged with breaching a criminal behaviour order imposed for posting a "prank" video on social media without consent.

Bacari-Bronze O'Garro, 18, known as Mizzy, of Hackney, north London, appeared at Thames magistrates court on Saturday where he pleaded not guilty to three breaches of a criminal behaviour order imposed for posting a "prank" video on TikTok.

O'Garro, who gave his address as Crayford Road, Dartford, was charged by the Metropolitan police on Saturday morning after being arrested on Friday.

When asked for his pleas by district Judge Holdham, O'Garro pleaded not guilty on three occasions.

Rose Edwin, prosecuting, said two of the three alleged offences took place on Thursday, with O'Garro accused of posting a video on to social media without the consent of the people featured as well as visiting Westfield centre in Stratford, which he is not permitted to do under the criminal behaviour order.

The court heard that O'Garro visited Hackney on Friday where he is accused of posting a video on social media without the consent of the people featured.

O'Garro was remanded into custody until a further hearing on Tuesday.

In a video posted to Twitter on Friday, O'Garro was seen being arrested by a plainclothes police officer, who referred to videos published on social media on Wednesday and Thursday.

O'Garro has been charged with three counts of breaching a criminal behaviour order and placed in custody to appear at the same court on Saturday.

During Wednesday's court appearance, he admitted one count of failing to comply with a community protection notice issued on 11 May 2022.

Judge Crangle issued him with a two-year criminal behaviour order, including that he must not directly or indirectly post videos on social media without the documented consent of the people featured in the content, must not trespass into private property and must not attend the Westfield centre in Stratford, east London.

She ordered O'Garro to pay a fine of £200, as well as a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 in costs.

A Met spokesperson said: "A teenager has been charged with breaching a criminal behaviour order following an investigation into social media footage posted online.

"He will appear in custody at Thames magistrates court on the morning of Saturday 27 May."
