A MAN will require plastic surgery after being involved in a hit-and-run with a teen on an e-scooter.

The incident happened at about 8.15pm on Friday (May 16) at the zebra crossing on Honey End Lane, Tilehurst, opposite Sea Master Fish and Chips.

A teen, described as a boy aged about 15, was involved in a crash with a man in his 50s.

The pedestrian suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital but the teen failed to stay at the scene.

The man has since been discharged but will require plastic surgery.

Investigating officer PC Mark Neill, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, based at Three Mile Cross police station, is now appealing for witnesses.

He said: "I would also appeal to the e-scooter rider involved to come forward. There is no doubt they would not know they had been involved in a collision.

"To contact us, call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43230232189.
