Where is the cordon?

The cordon has been placed around the sports centre, in Cossington Street, off Belgrave Road. It means access to it is currently blocked.

We have asked Leicester City Council for any further information they can give us about the centre's closure this afternoon.

Access to the street and Rendell Road, which runs along the park, appear to still be open.
