Porsche chief divorces wife 'because she has dementia'

Wolfgang Porsche, the 79-year-old sports car billionaire, has raised eyebrows by divorcing his wife, who has dementia, amid German media reports that he is in a relationship with the Aga Khan's ex-wife.

A spokesman for the company confirmed this week that Porsche was suing for divorce from Claudia, 74, a former teacher whom he married in 2019. They had been together since 2007.

Bild, the tabloid newspaper, reported that Claudia had been suffering from a "dementia-like illness" for the past two years that had led to a change in her character. Citing unnamed sources close to the family, Bild said that this had made it impossible for the Porsches to live together as a married couple. The newspaper said Claudia was living near her daughter
