On the victory

"I am just proud of the group, the staff and everyone,2 said Lowe. "I think, when you put those performance in, in derbies, and they warrant three points, it is always pleasing. And that was our aim. Our aim was to get after them, front foot, energy, tackling, desire and commitment to get three points. And we have done that."

On the game plan and early goal

"It's something we've wanted for a while isn't it?" said Lowe. "I thought Pottsy was fantastic, taking his goal. And then, late on, he was a bit cautious. They made three subs, changed it and put a natural winger out there to try and get at him - hence why we changed it. But, the game plan was taken to fruition by the lads. We knew what Blackpool were going to try and do.

"They are fighting for their lives and they try to get about teams, with the ball up to the top end of the pitch. They still have some decent players and try to play, but we knew we had to deal with all that. And if we dealt with all that, we knew we could create some opportunities and score goals. I think the counter attack for Tom Cannon's was fantastic, so really pleased."

On Brad Potts' moment

"Buzzing for Pottsy, because we had a bit of a discussion coming home from Rotherham," said Lowe. "I told him that if he wants to score goals, he will. You have got to believe you can score. I have looked at the goal back and he would've potentially just squared that back for Alan Browne, for it to just fizzle out. But for him to be brave, get that shot off and execute it - he has got those sidewinder volleys down to a tee hasn't he? If we can create more goals from him; he puts more balls into the box than he has ever done now. If he can get to the back post to score goals too, even better."

On the goals scored

"The quality is nice," said Lowe. "They are all attacking goals. We work down one side and Pottsy is on the other side, to smash it across goal. The second is a great free-kick from Whitey. And the third is a proper counter attacking goal, where we opened them up and a great finish - disguised and rolled into the corner. We have had moments like that, believe it or not; we just haven't executed them, so it's nice when you do and the ball goes into the back of the net."

On importance of desire

"We didn't have to match anyone's desire," said Lowe. "We just had to have that about us, knowing that they were coming on to our turf. We did what we did last season and for me it was about what we were doing. We obviously had to respect Blackpool, but the passion and commitment was shown by us - for the club, the fans and everyone associated. We knew we had to put a performance on and get a result. To combine the two of them and get three points is pleasing."

On Tom Cannon's finish

"Yeah, it's lovely," said Lowe. "It's a nice delicate touch and roll in. They are one of my favourite finishes those, because the 'keeper is unsighted and can't see. I thought he had missed the opportunity, but just opened his body up and guided it in. Lovely."

On the atmosphere

"It was fantastic, as I expected," said Lowe. "In derbies like that, both sets of fans at each other - our fans were fantastic weren't they? Once the first goal went in, I think it calmed everyone down. The fans sung their songs and rightly so. They got behind the lads; we asked for the fans to give us that and they certainly did."

On PNE looking comfortable at times

"Yeah, I don't like it!" said Lowe. "Taking too many passes, because someone is going to nail you and hurt you. We weren't taking the mick or anything. We were just trying to move the ball quick, but it can be too comfortable. I said to the lads at half time not to think for one minute that the game is over. It is important to see it out and we certainly did."
