First look inside town's new B&M and garden centre

Tamworth's new B&M and garden centre officially opened as of this morning with "fantastic feedback" - and this is the first look inside.

The discount retailer has taken possession of the former Co-op in Ninian Way, Wilnecote, with a ground floor sales area which has undergone a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme.

The store also has a garden centre selling hundreds of plant varieties and gardening essentials. It opened at 9am on Thursday, March 23 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Tamworth team.

Colleagues were asked to nominate a charity they thought deserved some VIP treatment. They chose the team from Tamworth Food Bank to take centre stage and officially unveil the new store.

The team will also receive £250 worth of B&M vouchers, which will help the charity continue its work.

Health and beauty.

The store manager said: "It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors; the feedback so far has been fantastic.

"A big thank you to the team at Tamworth Food Bank who helped us open the store.

"We hope our donation can help them to continue to do the great work they do."

A spokesperson promised: "Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food.

Easter aisle.

There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.

The overall development will also house a Lidl, B&M, KFC, Starbucks, Greggs and Subway as well as Travis Perkins once complete and will be called the Tame Retail and Trade Park.

Lidl opened for the first time last month on Thursday, February 23.
