Police have found a body in the search for missing 67-year-old Nicholas Leaf from Riccall . North Yorkshire Police have called off the search after the body was discovered at around 1pm today (Thursday, April 18) in water near to his home address. Formal identification has taken place and the body is confirmed to be that of Nicholas. Nicholas had last been seen at his home in Riccall, near York, on Tuesday, April 9. Police had been "very concerned" for the welfare of the elderly man who they described as 5ft 9in, with grey hair and a beard, and having a slight limp. A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police added: "We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeals, and we ask that Nicholas' family's privacy is respected at this difficult time."
