A man is due to appear in court accused of killing a clubber in Walsall. Edward Wilson has been charged with the murder of Akeem Francis-Kerr, who was stabbed at Valesha's nightclub. The 29-year-old was knifed at the Newport Street club, also known as Colliseum, just after 5am on Saturday, March 11. Despite the efforts of medics, he sadly died an hour later while on the way to hospital. West Midlands Police said Wilson, who was arrested in South Yorkshire, will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court today (Saturday, March 18). Edward Wilson was detained in South Yorkshire in connection with the fatal stabbing at Valesha's nightclub last Saturday morning. "The 39-year-old from Oldbury has now been charged with murder and remanded to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today. We've kept Akeem's family updated with the latest developments as we continue to support them during this distressing time."
