Eight historic aircraft will take to the skies over the Midlands today as part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The flight will feature two Spitfires, two Hurricanes, a Lancaster bomber, two Chipmunk aircraft and a C47 Dakota.

The aero-planes will roar over the region to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic during the Second World War. The battle was the longest-running battle of the war, beginning in 1939 and ending with the defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945.

The Royal Air Force (RAF) has provided a list of locations of where you can watch the historic aircraft today. The event is happening across the Midlands and North West, with the first taking place at 12.30pm.
