Exact time Lancaster Bomber and Spitfire will fly over Blackpool today

The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) will be seen again over Blackpool again today (May 28).

The jets flew over the resort yesterday, delighting fans and they ripped through the skies overheard. And they'll be seen again this afternoon as the display travels from the North West and heads towards Northamptonshire.

The BBMF is flying on each day of the bank holiday weekend to mark 80 years since the Battle of the Atlantic in World War II. The flight operates six Spitfires, two Hurricanes, a Lancaster, a C47 Dakota, and two Chipmunk aircraft.

These aircraft can be regularly seen in the skies over the UK from May to September each year and are often seen as part of major air sows. They are also flown to celebrate and commemorate public and military events from State occasions such as Trooping the Colour to major airshows and flypasts for public events.

On Sunday, the fly past is due over Blackpool at 12.43pm. The full list of times for flypasts is below, though it is only intended to serve as a guide
