Police have started a murder investigation after a man's "burnt body" was found in the garden of a home where a "highly reclusive" family live in a quiet cul-de-sac.

Officers from West Yorkshire police were called to a property in the north of Bradford just before 4pm on Tuesday after reports of a "serious ongoing incident".

The local fire and rescue service also attended and they extinguished a small fire.

A 26-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident. Both remain in police custody.

Police have confirmed that the victim was an adult male but said inquiries were continuing to identify him formally.
