Prince Louis is the double of Prince George in a new portrait released by the Prince and Princess of Wales today.

The little royal, who is known for his cheeky attitude and playful demeanour, can be seen relaxing on a picnic blanket in the photograph, which was taken by Kate Middleton earlier this week and released today. Wearing a checked shirt and navy blue shorts, Louis' beams at his mother while crossing his arms and leaning across a cream and tan picnic blanket.

The couple went on to post a photograph of Prince Louis taken by the Princess of Wales on social media, writing, 'Happy 6th Birthday, Prince Louis! Thank you for all the kind wishes today.' Many royal fans went wild over the snaps, with some saying the six-year-old was growing up to look exactly like his older brother, Prince George. One commented on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, 'Louis looks so much like George here!' Another wrote, 'OMG. Happy Birthday to Prince Louis.
