A teenager was shot in front of passersby on a quiet road in East London. The block of flats with a small car park in front sits just off Haggerston Road.

An investigation has been launched into the incident as police believe the suspects were wearing masks and riding e-scooters as they shot the teenager. Thankfully, the victim's injuries were found to be non life-threatening.

In a statement, a Met Police spokesperson said: "An investigation was launched after police were called at 20:22hrs on Thursday, 25 May, to reports that a firearm had been discharged into Garden Place, Hackney.
