Michael Beale hails Malik Tillman key Rangers partner ahead of Celtic clash

It was Malik Tillman that made sure the Light Blues go in to the showpiece derby with no hangover from the international break as the American added to his first half strike to make it two and down United. Rangers remain unbeaten in league action since Beale's arrival but face the biggest game of their campaign in the east end of Glasgow.

The Englishman insists Saturday's game will 'move the goalposts' one way or another as he believes that both team's scintillating form means it won't budge much. He also moved to highlight the partnership Tillman has with fellow new star Todd Cantwell.

He said: "It was comfortable. We needed the first goal which was fantastic and showed some of the things we're working on against the block. Todd [Cantwell] and Malik have a relationship I really want to encourage. They were fantastic against a stubborn Dundee United.

"I would like to see us be more ruthless in the final third. Malik got two goals and another 75 minutes in his legs - he's got a knack for that."

He added on BBC Sportsound: "It's a great game, we're going away with no fans. Everyone knows the position in the league table. After the game the goalposts will move one way or another.

"The form both teams in, it would only move it a little bit either way."
