Image source, Pacemaker The St Patrick's Day parade at Belfast City Hall St Patrick's Day festivities took place across Northern Ireland on Friday. The rain didn't dampen the celebrations as thousands of people took to the streets to commemorate Ireland's patron saint. Among the big events taking place was the parade in Belfast city centre, staged by arts organisation Beat Carnival. Other big parades included those in Londonderry, Newry and Armagh.
