Berkshire Hathaway weekend is underway, starting with shopping at CHI Health Center

THAT. FOR MANY INVESTORS, IT'S THEIR FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR. THIS YEAR'S BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY SHAREHOLDERS MEETING IS TOMORROW, AND SOME EVENTS KICKED OFF TODAY AT THE CHI HEALTH CENTER ARENA IN. MANY COME FAR AND WIDE. WE'RE FROM EAST TENNESSEE. I'M FROM CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES TO OMAHA, NEBRASKA, AND I'VE NEVER BEEN TO OMAHA BEFORE, SO I'M ENJOYING GETTING TO SEE A OMAHA HOPING TO GET AS CLOSE AS THEY CAN TO WARREN AND BUFFETT. HE IS JUST A WIZARD WHEN IT COMES TO BEING ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE, UM, SUCCESSFUL COMPANIES AND THEN INVEST MONEY AND MAKE THEM GROW. THE BILLIONAIRE SURE KNOWS HOW TO DRAW A CROWD WITH HIS ANNUAL BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY SHAREHOLDERS MEETING. THERE'S TONS OF PEOPLE HERE, AND THEY'RE THEY'RE JUST ENJOYING THEMSELVES. AND THEY BRING THEIR KIDS DOWN AND ALL THAT. AND FOR SOME, THE CHI HEALTH CENTER ALONE WON'T CUT IT. IT'S NOT THAT BIG. IT'S, UH, IT'S SMALLER THAN I EXPECTED. FRIDAY MORNING, BUFFETT HAD SOME EXCITED VISITORS RIGHT OUTSIDE OF HIS DUNDY HOME. I REALLY ADMIRE HER, HIS LIFESTYLE AND HE'S SUPER WEALTHY. BUT HE LIVES IN, UH, YOU KNOW, KIND OF A NORMAL HOUSE, NORMAL STYLE HOUSE FOR THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE THIS WEEKEND. JUST LOOK AT EVERYTHING. THERE'S NO PLACE SWEETER TO BE THAN THE ORACLE OF OMAHA'S OLD STOMPING GROUNDS. SO THE FUN STARTS TOMORROW MORNING WITH SHAREHOLDERS. DOORS OPEN FOR SHOPPING AT THE CHI HEALTH CENTER AT SEVEN, A MOVIE ABOUT THE COMPANY STARTS AT 845, THEN AT 915, THE MORNING Q&A SESSION STARTS WITH THE VICE CHAIRMAN. WARREN BUFFETT WILL BE THERE FOR THE AFTERNOON SESSION. THAT'S AT ONE. THE NEBRASKA FURNITURE MART PICKS STARTS AT 530. THEN ON SUNDAY MORNING, THE FIVE K BEGINS AT 8 A.M. DOWNTOWN AND BORSHEIMS WILL HOLD ANOTHER PRIVATE SHOPPING EVENT FOR SHAREHOLDERS UNTIL

Berkshire Hathaway weekend officially begins as thousands crowd the streets of Omaha

Thousands of Berkshire Hathaway shareholders arrived in the metro for the annual meeting.Many of them took the day to visit Warren Buffett's home, which is where KETV NewsWatch 7 caught up with one visitor who said she's looking forward to hearing Buffett's expectations for the American economy in the next year. Many of them took the day to visit Warren Buffett's home, which is where KETV NewsWatch 7 caught up with one visitor who said she's looking forward to hearing Buffett's expectations for the American economy in the next year.

"Everybody's pocket is so tight, and I wanted to see his opinion on America's future and America's economy and normal people's life," said Spring Chen.
