The San Francisco Giants and the Philadelphia Phillies meet Saturday in MLB action from Citizens Bank Park. Here's a San Francisco Giants vs Philadelphia Phillies prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game. We will examine: • The San Francisco Giants recent form and player performance • The Philadelphia Phillies recent form and player performance
• Recent betting trends and streaks involving the San Francisco Giants • Recent betting trends and streaks involving the Philadelphia Phillies
• Recent betting trends in games played between the Giants and Phillies • A summary that ties it all together and produces a favorable betting outcome for the Giants vs Phillies game Earlier this week the Giants took on the Boston Red Sox. San Francisco lost the first two games of that series 4-0 and 6-2 but staved off the sweep with a 3-1 win on Thursday. In the Friday opener versus Philly, the Giants gave up an early 2-0 lead and ended up losing 4-3. Jordan Hicks managed 4.0 innings in the start with two earned on four hits and four walks. As starting pitcher for Saturday's game, the Giants will go with Keaton Winn. This year Winn is 3-3 with a 3.18 ERA in six starts. He's got 28 Ks in 34.0 innings. Winn is 4-6 with a 4.01 ERA in 15 career games (11 starts). Over on the Phillies' side, they played the Los Angeles Angels in their early-week series. After a 6-5 win in the opener of that set, Philadelphia came back for wins 7-5 and 2-1 in the next pair. On Friday the Phillies got a pair of RBI from Brandon Marsh during the victory. Starter Aaron Nola put up two earned on four hits and four walks in 4.0 innings with four strikeouts. It'll be Ranger Suarez in the starting pitcher role for the Phillies on Saturday. Over his six starts Suarez is 5-0 with a 1.32 ERA and 40 Ks in 41.0 innings. Suarez is 34-21 with a 3.24 ERA in 140 career games (72 starts). Giants RP Tristan Beck (arm) has been given the go-ahead to began a throwing program. Beck is on the 60-day Injured List. I'll stay with Philly. Suarez is doing great this year. Over his last three starts, he's 3-0 with 24.0 total innings, one earned, 12 hits and two walks. Suarez went 7.0 or more innings in each of those outings. As for Winn, he's 3-0 in his last trio himself, going 18.0 total innings (6.0 in each) with just three earned. This should be a great starter matchup. On Friday Philadelphia didn't have the biggest offensive night, but a couple of productive innings carried the team to victory alongside a nice pitching effort. The bullpen was great between five different pitchers, combining for four hits, one earned, no walks and seven Ks. I like the Phillies to keep it up on Saturday. Should be another close game. The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a PickDawgz site consensus.
