LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - The United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas Houston Division has released the indictment on Congressman Henry Cuellar and his wife Imelda Cuellar. The Justice Department on Friday released an indictment against Cuellar, and his wife, charging the pair with bribery and money laundering related to their ties with a bank in Mexico and an oil and gas company controlled by Azerbaijan. According to court documents, from 2014 to 2021, Cuellar and his wife accepted nearly $600,000 in bribes from an Azerbaijan-controlled energy company and a bank in Mexico, and in exchange, Cuellar agreed to advance the interests of the country and the bank in the U.S. Below is the pdf of the full indictment: For more headlines. click here.
