How To Call In The Helicopter In Gray Zone Warfare

The first mystery in Gray Zone Warfare is how to call in the helicopter and make it out onto the map in Gray Zone Warfare. It's not immediately obvious, but all you have to do is open up the full map and then click on the landing zone you want to go to.

Whether you are out in the field or back at base, simply open up the menu with the tab key and click on the landing zone you want to go to. Then a small pop-up will appear in the top right of the map, with a "Request Transport" button. Press that and a helicopter will head towards the closest landing zone to you, with a timer popping up on the map to show how long it will take to arrive. Interestingly you do not have to head back to base when you are out on the map, you can hop from different landing zones on the map without ever heading back to your base.

How To Accept And Complete Quests In Gray Zone Warfare

Another slightly confusing aspect of Gray Zone Warfare is how to accept or complete a task. Tasks will show up on the "Tasks" portion of the main menu, but this is not where you accept or complete them.

In order to accept a quest you will need to go to the vendor tab and click on the tasks button next to the shop option. If that vendor has a task for you it will show up here, and you can click on the accept task buttons to start it. This is also the menu you will need to go to in order to complete tasks and hand in any items the vendor has requested. The tasks part of the menu is only really useful for keeping track of what quests you have active and what you need to do to complete them.

How To Find Loot In Gray Zone Warfare

Like many other extraction games Gray Zone Warfare features loot that you can collect around the world and either use yourself or sell for some profit, but finding the top-level loot isn't exactly easy.

You will find loot scattered around the map and can pick it up if you have space in your inventory with your interact button. However, the best loot is usually hidden behind locked doors, so don't expect to find high level weapons just lying on the street. It is also worth noting that the starting towns where the first few quests are, have low-level loot in general and the further afield you go the better loot you will find.

How To Kill Other Players In Gray Zone Warfare

If you are just jumping into Gray Zone Warfare you might be wondering where all the enemy players are, but do not fear as they are not far away. In the opening hours, your quests stick to your faction's starting town where players from other factions rarely go, but after you complete these quests you will go to areas where multiple factions have quests and will find other players.

Of course, with the open world, there is nothing stopping you from going straight to one of the starting towns for the other factions and killing all their players as they expect to be fighting AI. Given how long it takes to get there and how many enemies you will run into, it might not be the best idea, but you can go kill enemy players as soon as you start the game.

How To Heal In Gray Zone Warfare

One you do start shooting other players in Gray Zone Warfare you will need to figure out how to heal after you take damage. You'll need to make sure you bring some meds with you, and then when you are damaged you can either double-click the meds or select them from the quick-use menu that is bound to the four key by default.

There are a lot of different meds for different injuries in Gray Zone Warfare, ranging from painkillers to reduce the pain effect to surgical kits to fix up limbs that have deep injuries that make the whole limb go yellow. It probably isn't wise to take meds for every possible injury out into the world, so taking some bandages, gauze and a CT to stop light and medium bleeds, along with painkillers to stop pain effects is usually good enough. You may also want to take out some blood packs to help revive any fallen teammates.
