Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of Week 2 of NXT Spring Breakin' on April 30.

Here is a look at what WWE was advertising for the show:

Let's take a look at everything that happened on Tuesday's show.

Oba Femi vs. Ivar

The show opened with a recap of Trick Williams winning the NXT Championship last week. He came out for his first promo as the new top dog with the crowd chanting "Whoop that trick."

Lash Legend congratulated him on his win, but Trick reminded her that she tried to slap him the last time they were in the ring together. They talked in circles for a couple of minutes, but the segment ended with no real revelation or advancement.

The first match we got this week saw Femi put the NXT North American Championship on the line against Ivar. They started by running the ropes until the challenger scored the first takedown. He sent Femi out of the ring and hit a senton from the apron.

Both men are powerhouses who can work at a quick pace, so this was much more energetic than some bouts we have seen with similar competitors.

While they displayed great athleticism and energy, it felt like something was missing from this match. Being predictable may have been a factor, but they picked up the pace a bit in the second half to get the crowd cheering. As expected, Femi won to retain his title.

Wes Lee made his return and confronted the champion after the match to make his intentions clear.

    Result: Femi defeated Ivar

    Grade: B

Thea Hail vs. Jacy Jayne

2 of 7

    NXTWWE

Chase U was shown pumping Thea Hail up before she came out to take on her former friend, Jacy Jayne.

They came through the crowd instead of down the aisle. Jazmyn Nix accompanied Jayne to the ring.

Hail opened with a slap, so Jayne took her down by her legs and claimed control. We went to our first break with the former Toxic Attraction member putting Hail in the corner.

Unfortunately, this bout only lasted a couple more minutes when we returned. Hail winning was the right call, but this never felt like it came close to reaching its full potential.

For some reason, Fallon Henley turned on Hail and attacked her after the match.

    Result: Hail defeated Jayne

    Grade: C+

    Notable Moments and Observations

The OC vs. Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe

3 of 7

    NXTWWE

Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe made their NXT debuts this week in a tag team match against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

The newcomers are both big powerhouses, so Gallows started off for The O.C. in an attempt to wear them down.

In a surprising result, Gallows and Anderson ended up winning in just a couple of minutes. WWE has aired several video packages hyping the debuts of Dupont and Igwe, so it felt like a strange decision to book them to lose in such a short bout.

Result: The O.C. defeated Dupont and Igwe

    Grade: D+

    Notable Moments and Observations

Shawn Spears vs. Ridge Holland

4 of 7

    NXTWWE

NXT general manager Ava Raine was trying to announce an upcoming women's match when she was interrupted by Jaida Parker. Then, Sol Ruca, Grace and Mia Yim also showed up.

The next match featured Shawn Spears taking on Ridge Holland.

Spears was immediately trying to play mind games, but the Englishman's power allowed him to take control quickly.

The match cut to a commercial after less than two minutes, so a lot of the action was only visible in picture-in-picture. Holland won a few minutes after we returned.

This bout never went beyond second gear and lacked the intensity it should have had.

    Result: Holland defeated Spears

    Grade: C-

    Notable Moments and Observations

Axion and Nathan Frazer vs. AOP

5 of 7

    NXTWWE

The NXT tag titles were on the line when Nathan Frazer and Axiom defended the belts against Akam and Rezar.

Scarlett, Karrion Kross and Paul Ellering of The Final Testament were all at ringside for AOP.

The champions went right after the challengers and started fighting before the ref could call for the bell. AOP regrouped at ringside and the match got started. As soon as that happened, Akam took Frazer down.

The majority of this bout was AOP dominating their opponents. Their size and power was too much for the high-flyers in most instances.

Kross, Scarlett and Ellering were ejected from ringside after being caught trying to help. While the ref was distracted, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne attacked AOP and paved the way for the champions to retain.

This match had some good energy and a few great spots, but the way it ended made the champions look a little weak.

Result: Axiom and Frazer defeated AOP

    Grade: B-

    Notable Moments and Observations

Lola Vice vs. Natalya

6 of 7

    Lola Vice and Shayna Baszler.WWE

The main event of Week 2 of Spring Breakin' was an NXT Underground match between Vice and Natalya.

Vice had Shayna Baszler in her corner, while Nattie had Karmen Petrovic by her side.

Performance Center talents surrounded the ring and watched as they immediately spilled out of the ring while fighting.

They worked hard to make this feel like more of a fight than a standard wrestling match. Since there were no ropes, they kept most of the action on the mat with submissions and strikes.

Baszler tried to get involved but ended up being thrown out of the ring by Natalya, who then locked Vice in a Sharpshooter. Baszler grabbed Petrovic in a choke and forced The Queen of Harts to break her submission to save her.

When she got back to the ring, Vice nailed her with a backfist and immediately started pounding on her until the ref called for the bell and declared her the winner.

This stipulation is a difficult one because it isn't a standard match. They are working a different style of fighting, so it can sometimes feel out of place on a show filled with traditional bouts. Both women did a good job with what they had to work with.

    Result: Vice defeated Natalya

    Grade: C+

The Final Word

7 of 7

This week's NXT was supposed to be a special episode, but it ended up feeling like an average show with one or two surprises.

Lee's return was a highlight, as was Femi vs. Ivar, but everything else felt rushed. Three of the matches felt too short and one had a baffling outcome.

WWE has been hyping the debut of Dupont and Igwe for a few weeks with video packages only to book them to lose in a few minutes to a team with zero momentum. Hail vs. Jayne and Spears vs. Holland also lacked time.

NXT is a very hot-and-cold brand. Some weeks are super fun but some are mediocre. Sadly, this week was the latter, but it still had a few enjoyable moments.

    Grade: C
