Meta, Facebook's parent company and maker of the Quest headset, just released a trailer for its upcoming game, Batman: Arkham Shadow. Developed exclusively for the Meta Quest 3 headset, this new entry looks to be the next chapter in the wildly popular Batman: Arkham game franchise. However, unlike the series' trilogy and Batman: Arkham VR from 2016, this game was not made with the involvement of Rocksteady Studios. Instead, it was developed by Oculus Studios and Camouflaj, makers of Iron Man VR and Republique VR.

In a press release, Camouflaj discussed their excitement at being part of such a beloved series, and how closely they've worked with Meta and the Oculus team. It will be the largest game they've ever published and built from the ground up to integrate with the Meta Quest 3.

Collaborating closely with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC, we aim to deliver an authentic new entry in the celebrated Arkham franchise, something that the series' millions of fans will know is no easy feat. The prospect of adding a new chapter to such a storied franchise is exhilarating. (And it's been a lot of fun.) We are committed to building upon the beloved foundation laid by the legendary team at Rocksteady, and driven to do it justice.

More information will be revealed at the Summer Games Fest world premiere on June 7.
