Google Photos

offers an interesting feature called Memory which shows old photos. However, there are times when we don't want to see a specific person's photo. Google Photos is now gearing up to simplify the process of hiding someone's face from Memories.

As reported by 9to5Google, the latest version of Google Photos offers the functionality to hide someone's face in Memories.

To hide individuals from Memories in Google Photos, navigate to the app's settings menu, then go to Preferences > Memories, and select "Hide people and pets." This action will enable you to conceal individuals from appearing in your memories, creations, or on the search page without deleting any of the photos they are in.

This new option is accessible through an overflow menu when viewing a specific individual's "face group." It offers a significantly more

user-friendly

and intuitive approach compared to the current method. Moreover, it offers more than just simplified access.

The new feature will provide two options for hiding a face. The first option remains the same as the existing one, allowing users to completely hide the face from memories, now labeled as "Block face" in the updated menu. The second new option will enable users to "show less" of the individual's face in memories.
