The Vikings' 2024 schedule release will probably start early

Because the National Football League has done a pretty masterful job of turning itself into a year-round entity, we now have another event to look forward to when the league releases its 2024 schedule on Thursday. If last year is any indication, however, fans of the Minnesota Vikings will have at least one piece of their schedule in place before then.

Last season, the league announced the dates and times of the games in the league's International Series the day before the remainder of the schedule. If they hold to form on that, we'll know at least one of the Vikings' games sometime on Wednesday.

If you'll recall, the Vikings have been designated as one of the teams that will "host" one of the International Series games this season when they return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this coming season. They played a game in that same venue as the visiting team in 2022 when they defeated the New Orleans Saints.

That means that the Vikings will be playing a game in the UK this season against one of the following teams:

I haven't seen a great deal of speculation as to who the Vikings will face in London this year, but those are the candidates since those are the team's home opponents for this year.

The Vikings won't necessarily be having their bye week after their trip to London, either. When they played in London in Week 4 in 2022, they did not take their bye in Week 5, instead hosting (and defeating) Chicago at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Who do you think the Vikings will be facing over in the UK this year, folks? There's a good chance we'll have our answer to that question by Wednesday.
