(KRON) — Tesla layoffs that have roiled the EV manufacturer for the past several weeks continued over the weekend, according to multiple reports. The company sent another round of layoff notices out on Sunday night, according to Business Insider, which cited impacted workers posting on social media.

The latest round of layoffs impacted people working in a broad range of roles across the company, according to a separate report in Electrek. Departments impacted by these latest layoffs include software, service and engineering, Electrek said.

The ongoing rolling series of layoffs at the company have now stretched into a fourth week. Earlier this year, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced plans to reduce the company's workforce by 10%. But according to Electrek, the layoffs could ultimately come closer to 20%.

Last week, Musk reportedly told staff the company needed to be "absolutely hard core about headcount and cost reduction" in relation to the previous round of layoffs. That wave of job cuts resulted in hundreds of people losing their jobs and the company letting go its entire supercharging team.

KRON4 reached out to Tesla for comment. However, the company recently dissolved its media relations department and we have not heard back at this time.
