BOCA CHICA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — SpaceX has rolled out another Starship rocket for testing at the Boca Chica facility, according to LabPadre.

At midnight Wednesday, SpaceX rolled out S30, or Starship prototype 30, from its production facility to the testing site.

Louis Balderas with LabPadre says SpaceX is more than likely preparing for a cryo proof test, where engineers use nitrogen to imitate the pressure of a static fire test.

If all goes well, SpaceX usually conducts static fire tests shortly after.

SpaceX has a history of conducting these tests anywhere from a week to months away from launch day.

Local SpaceX enthusiasts anticipate a projected launch day announcement from Elon Musk, the companies CEO, in the near future.

In March, Gwynne Shotwell, president and chief operating officer of SpaceX, said at the Satellite 2024 that SpaceX is aiming to launch its fourth Starship at the beginning of May.
