Fortunately, swift action by Russia's Federal Security Forces thwarted the attack. The suspected terrorist, however, opted to end his own life by detonating an improvised explosive device during the arrest. Upon investigation, Russia's FSB discovered a clandestine laboratory within the alleged attacker's residence, evidently utilized for manufacturing explosives.
