Mouni Roy is again under controversy after her friend and film producer Sandeep Singh made some serious allegations against her. The film producer, whose name was dragged in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, has claimed that since then the actress has cut all the ties with him despite being best friends for years. Sandeep further alleged that he used to accompany Mouni to meet big filmmakers but she left him in the middle of the Sushant's death case. He further expressed his sadness over Mouni's behaviour.

Mouni Roy and Ankita Lokhande were offered a film called Safed, which was Sandeep Singh's directorial debut. But the leading ladies refused to do the movie amid the ongoing controversy around him about Sushant's case. In an interview with Times Now, Sandeep Singh said, "Both of them backed out probably because of the fact that I was embroiled in a controversy."

He also said, "I'm deeply hurt by Mouni Roy. She was one of my best friends, she used to follow me on Instagram. We would hang out together and go for lunches and dinners. Whenever she wanted to meet a big filmmaker, I would go with her. I even met her husband Suraj Nambiar long before they got married. When the Sushant Singh Rajput controversy erupted, she was the first one who backed out and unfollowed me."

"You cannot just leave your friend in the middle of something where he needs you the most. She did that to me. I am still very hurt by it. She didn't have the guts to call me to her wedding. But I want to tell Mouni that if something goes wrong with her, I'll be the first person to go to her," the filmmaker further revealed in the interview.
