New Delhi,UPDATED: Apr 23, 2024 16:52 IST

In recent days, a lot of speculation and rumours have been surrounding the upcoming launch of the Poco F6, the successor to the Poco F5, which debuted in May 2023. Rumours had earlier suggested that the Poco F6 would be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 3, which was unveiled in China on April 10. Although Poco has not officially confirmed the existence of the Poco F6, details about the phone have started doing rounds online. As per latest reports, the Poco F6 might feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 primary camera lens, instead of the Sony IMX882 lens reported earlier.

91Mobiles Hindi reports that Poco F6 will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 as its primary camera, diverging from earlier rumours that suggested a dual camera setup including a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 and an 8-megapixel ultrawide Sony IMX355 camera. Additionally, it was earlier speculated that the Poco F6 will also come with a 20-megapixel OmniVision OV20B40 selfie camera. However, recent reports say that it won't be the case. Moreover, the phone is expected to launch in May or June this year. We will know more as we approach the launch date.

Further details about the phone say that it could boast an Amoled display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Consistent with trends in recent smartphone launches, Poco might also choose to omit the 3.5mm headphone jack on this device. As far as price details are concerned, the phone is expected to belong to mid-range category and might be launched for around Rs 40,000 in India.

Under the hood, the Poco F6 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, and it is expected to support LPDDR5X RAM along with UFS 4.0 storage. As mentioned already, the device is rumoured to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 3, which was launched in China earlier this month alongside the Redmi Pad Pro tablet.

Since Poco F6 is being termed as a rebranded Redmi Turbo 3, it is expected to feature a 6.67-inch Amoled display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to run on HyperOS based on Android 14 out of the box. In addition to this, the smartphone is also expected to support 120W wired fast charging technology.

Recently, the Poco F6 appeared on the BIS certification site under the model number 24069PC21I, hinting that its launch in India could be imminent. The phone's Pro variant was also spotted on FCC (Federal Communications Commission), which is a major certification website. While Poco has yet to confirm these details officially, we'll continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
