Tata Consumer Products, a leading player in the fast-moving consumer goods segment, reported a consolidated net profit of ₹212.3 crore in the fourth quarter of financial year 2023-24 (FY24).

The net profit logged by the company is 26.6% lower as compared to ₹289.6 crore reported in the year-ago quarter.

The company's consolidated revenue from operations, however, increased by 9% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹3,926.9 crore. In comparison, it stood at ₹3,618.7 crore in the same quater of FY23. Revenue was largely in line with the market estimates but profit missed the estimates.

The consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) came in at ₹631 crore in Q4 FY24, up 22% as compared to the year-ago period.

For the full fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, the company logged a consolidated net profit of ₹1,215.4 crore, down 8% as against a net profit of ₹1,320.1 crore registered in FY23.

The revenue from operations in FY24 came in at ₹15,205.8 crore, which is higher by 10% as against ₹13,962 crore logged in the preceding fiscal year, as per the consolidated results declared by the company.

The consolidated EBITDA in FY24 stood at ₹2,323 crore, up 24% year-on-year, Tata Consumer Products said in a release.

Dividend declared

The company said its board has recommended a final dividend of "₹7.75 per equity share of ₹1 each (775%) for the financial year 2023-24."

The dividend, if approved by the members at the ensuing 61st Annual General Meeting, "will be paid after the AGM and within 30 days of its declaration", it added.

Ahead of the Q4 results, Tata Consumer Products settled 0.09% higher at ₹1,172 apiece on the NSE. As the results are announced after market hours and the exact impact will be seen on 24 April.
