Actress Grusha Kapoor recently shared an anecdote about working with Salman Khan in the 1999 film Jaanam Samjha Karo. In a conversation with YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, Grusha recounted a time when the entire unit waited for Salman Khan for over 10 hours on set. Grusha, who had a supporting role in the film, arrived at Madh Island for a 9 am call time, along with other cast members including Urmila Matondkar.

However, filming was delayed due to Salman Khan's absence. Grusha, then a television actress, spoke about being unfamiliar with the extent of Salman Khan's stardom at the time. "I'll tell you, ignorance is bliss. I was completely oblivious to the fact that who Salman Khan is as a… because I belong to TV. And there was no social media back then. Back then we knew that this actor is big because he had a hit movie. We knew that he is a hero. Now social media has inflated everything," she explained.

"We were tired by this point. We were TV actors and we had been there since 8:30 am and we were supposed to pack up at 9 pm. After Salman came, we learned that the scene would happen. Salman was very nice to everyone, and greeted everyone," she recalled.

She further added, "He was sitting on the sofa in a ganji and jeans and he was talking to the director. Suddenly I realised that they have been discussing this scene for far too long. I thought, 'What is this great scene that is about happen'? Me being me, there was no fear, I had nothing to lose. I just turned and snapped at the director, 'What are we waiting for? It's almost 9 pm'."

According to Grusha, Salman Khan reacted calmly and agreed to film the scene. She believes the director could have handled the situation better. "No one could gather the courage to tell Salman the shot had been ready for five hours," she said. "I don't think this was Salman's fault. A more capable director could have controlled things."

Speaking of the professional front, Grusha was recently seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Murder Mubarak
