WhatsApp May Soon Introduce 'Channel Update Forwarding' Feature For Seamless Sharing; Details

WhatsApp has already shaken up the platform by adding a variety of features and is now reportedly working on a new Channel Update Forwarding feature. The feature is already available with the WhatsApp beta update (version 2.24.9.24) via the Google Play Beta Program. With this new feature, the platform aims to enhance the user experience.

The new functionality will enable users to share channel updates with their chats, groups, or status updates via a new dedicated forward button. The forward channel updates were there in earlier versions, but the Meta-owned instant messaging network appears to speed the process by adding a shortcut button next to the reply view. The new tool intends to make it faster and more convenient for users to share important content from their favourite channels, removing the need to navigate menus.

The functionality is already accessible to beta testers with the most recent update, and all users will soon receive it with subsequent upgrades in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the site has added a new AI chatbot that can generate graphics and reply to requests. Not only that, but the business is introducing a new feature that will allow users to rearrange the contacts in their preferred tab.
