Hyderabad:

Chief minister

A Revanth Reddy on Friday asked

social media

warriors of

Congress

to tell farmers that the govt will implement Rs 2 lakh crop

loan waiver

before Aug 15. He alleged that the BJP was conspiring to topple the Congress govt in

Telangana

.

Addressing the social media warriors of the party at his residence-cum-camp office, Revanth said "Use social media platforms effectively to inform farmers in the state that Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver will be implemented before Independence Day.

This Lok Sabha election is crucial not only to make Rahul Gandhi prime minister but to save Telangana, reservations, democracy and the Constitution from divisive forces like the BJP and RSS," the CM said.

He said the social media team of the Congress played a crucial role in ensuring that corruption and failures of previous BRS govt reached the people, which helped the Congress come to power. "The victory in Nov 2023 assembly elections was a semi-final. Now, the LS election is a final and social media warriors need to work harder to expose the BJP's false campaign on several fronts and its plans to scrap reservations," he said.

"Inform the voters of Congress govt's achievements in 100 days against the inefficient 10 years of Modi-led BJP govt at the Centre and KCR-led BRS govt in the state. If social media campaign of the Congress is successful, we can win 15 of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in the state," he said.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was trying to provoke religious emotions by using the name of Lord Ram but the mask had been exposed. "The people have realised that the BJP has nothing to talk about on development," he said. The CM gave the warriors a road map to not only counter the BJP's social media campaign like they had done successfully against the BRS in the assembly elections and inform the people that Modi govt was bent upon scrapping the reservations of SCs, STs, OBCs and minorities.

"Like the Britishers first came to India from Gujarat, Modi and Amit Shah too have come from the same state and have adopted the divide and rule policy of the British. There were no reservations for SCs, STs during British rule and the BJP govt too wants to do away with them," he said.
