White House confirms upcoming visit of Japanese Prime Minister Kishida to U.S.

In a meeting at the White House, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and his Japanese counterpart Akiba Takeo discussed the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Kishida to the United States, the White House said in a statement.

The two discussed the importance of making key deliverables for the Prime Minister's visit and exchanged views on regional and global challenges.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from both countries to continue cooperation with like-minded partners and strengthen the U.S.-Japan Alliance, which is the foundation for peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region, the statement added.
