Four years ago HMD released the Nokia 225 4G, a refresh of an old (2014) Nokia feature phone. Now the company is ready to do another re-release and this time the design looks much closer to the original as can be seen in the renders from @OnLeaks.
The so-called Nokia 225 4G (2024) runs the S30+ OS, so it's not a KaiOS device. It will have 64MB of RAM and 128MB storage, plus (almost certainly) a microSD slot. Again, this is a feature phone, so these specs are no surprise. It will be powered by a 1,450mAh battery, which sounds small but is 300mAh larger than the one in the 2020 model.
It will be charged over USB-C as HMD is finally ready to leave microUSB in the past - the past being 2023, considering that it was still being used on models like the 150 and 130. Anyway, there is going to be a 3.5mm jack for wired headphones too, to complete the retro experience. The phone will have a 2.4" display, the same size as its predecessor and smaller than the upcoming Nokia 230 (2024), which has a very similar design but a 2.8" display (240 x 320px resolution, of course). Around back, there is a camera (resolution unknown and unimportant) and there's even an LED flash this time around.
The Nokia 225 4G (2024) should cost around €100 and will be released in Europe and Africa. The official announcement is expected soon (maybe even by the end of this month). Source
