Samsung Drops Prices on Last Year's Flagship Galaxy Phones (With a Catch)

Original source (on modern site) | Article images: [1]

Phone makers often encourage new purchases by offering trade-in programs for old devices, and it looks like Samsung has plenty of last year's flagship units and wants to offload them.

The Galaxy S23 series (comprising the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra) is now part of Samsung's Certified Re-Newed (CRN) program, joining the Galaxy S21 and S22 series.

Samsung says devices that are part of the CRN program go through an intense inspection, with damaged parts swapped with "A level" replacements. They also receive new batteries and are updated with the latest available, including Galaxy AI, Samsung's suite of AI tools. These phones are in "like new" condition and get a one-year warranty, the same as new Samsung phones.

Since these are refurbished products, they are available at a discount. Additionally, all CRN devices are unlocked, allowing you to use them with the carrier of your choice. All three Galaxy S23 series phones performed well in our tests, making them a compelling option if you're seeking a deal on high-quality phones.
