Helldivers 2 May No Longer Be an Exclusive Title

Renowned insider Shpeshal_Nick, in the latest episode of the XboxEra podcast, claimed that he heard whispers of "very, very early preliminary discussions" about bringing Helldivers 2 to Xbox.

This news comes amidst a leadership shakeup at Sony Interactive Entertainment with the arrival of interim CEO Hiroki Totoki. Shpeshal_Nick speculates that Totoki's leadership might usher in a new era of openness to multiplatform releases, a strategy that could see PlayStation exclusives like Helldivers 2 branching out to Xbox consoles.

Even though insider Nick thinks putting Helldivers 2 on Xbox makes sense, he warns gamers to temper their excitement. He stresses these are very early talks and there's no guarantee of a deal. Things could fall through or Sony and Xbox might not reach an agreement.
