Original source (on modern site) | Article images: [1]

In just the latest in a series of ongoing articles that are published in conjunction with the first injury reports submitted by the Milwaukee Bucks, we are here to tell you that Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are officially "doubtful" for Game Five Tuesday night:

The Bucks have submitted their first injury report for Game 5 on Tuesday.

Doubtful

Giannis Antetokounmpo (left soleus strain)

Damian Lillard (right Achilles tendinitis)

Probable

Patrick Beverley (right oblique muscle strain)

Khris Middleton (right ankle sprain)

(A reminder: "Doubtful" is worse than "Questionable" which is worse than "Probable", if that makes sense.)

Tuesday will mark roughly three weeks since Antetokounmpo went down with the soleus strain in a late season tilt against the Boston Celtics, and Damian Lillard is nursing this tendinitis after hurting his Achilles in the final phases of Game Three. In the lead up to Game Four, coach Doc Rivers did confirm that Giannis was doing more vigorous workouts than before, but he would ultimately miss the game that dropped Milwaukee into a 1-3 hole this series:

On Saturday, Bucks coach Doc Rivers said Giannis Antetokounmpo was going to go through a hard workout Sunday morning.

Rivers, on Sunday morning's workout:

"It went well. He moved. He shot. He's running now with no resistance, so those are all very good signs."

Thanks to the extremely helpful 8:30 PM (Central) tip time Adam Silver and the NBA gave Milwaukee for Game Five, Milwaukee's two stars have just over 24 hours to do a little more mending before the team's season officially goes to the brink. If they can't go, it'll be down to the likes of Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Bobby Portis if he can stay on the floor for more than a quarter to try and stave off elimination. Based on Game Four's minute allocation, Andre Jackson Jr. may also get some burn to try and turn his chaotic energy into cohesive winning basketball as well. The good news for Milwaukee is that Khris Middleton seems to have mostly shaken off any lingering ankle pain from Game Three and that Patrick Beverly has recovered from a hard fall sustained in Game Four.

As always, we'll keep an eye out for more updates on Milwaukee's health prior to tip-off and will add the latest when available.

Go Bucks!
