Deputies: NFL player among 10 people shot at Sanford bar, 16-year-old in custody

Seminole County Sheriff's Detectives said ten people are recovering after a shooting in Sanford. This happened just after midnight at Cabana Live on Carraway Place.Deputies were first called to the bar to check on a large crowd. That's when they heard multiple gunshots from behind the establishment and saw a crowd of people running."I heard pow pow pow I was so frightened I started looking around everybody just roaming around scattering," Neisha Foster said. She told WESH she was at Cabana Live when it happened. She said all she could think to do when she heard the shots was drop to the floor."I was terrified," she said. "I was crawling on the ground screaming for my sister. Everybody is trying to ask me what's going on. Everybody is clueless,"She says people ran over her while she was on the ground. Leaving her with a massively swollen leg Sunday morning. But she considers herself lucky."I seen quite a few people that was injured. A couple was shot in the leg and arm," she said.According to an arrest report from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, a fistfight started inside the restaurant when the teen, who wasn't involved in the fight, pulled out a handgun and started shooting at a crowd of people. The report says almost immediately a security guard tackled him to the ground and took away the gun."I'm grateful to be alive and I'm grateful to be back with my kids," Foster said.The arrest report says on top of multiple security guards, there were two Seminole County Deputies at the business when the shooting happened. The sixteen-year-old was quickly taken into custody.Ultimately ten people went to the hospital with gunshot wounds according to the arrest report. Officials said the victims have non-life-threatening injuries. Most of them were hit in their lower body.Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was among those injured in the shooting, according to the team. Dell, a Daytona Beach native, sustained a minor injury and has been released from the hospital."This is my first and last time going out. I'm done," Foster said.But news of the shooting didn't keep people from coming to Cabana Live Sunday."The pool was active I had dinner… or lunch," said customer Greg Sanders. "It was wonderful. I think that it's back to normal,"And customer Penny Sheipe said, "I didn't have concerns coming down. Actually, I didn't think they were going to be open."Cabana Live posted on their Facebook Page Sunday that they are cooperating with the Sheriff's Office and called the incident isolated. And said they would be open during their normal business hours.The customers we talked to said what happened here could happen anywhere."It was probably over a fight it's so silly," Sanders said. "Nobody respects life anymore they don't appreciate it. It's just one of those things you hear every day. You hear about it every day. It's a shame."Deputies said the 16-year-old shooter is facing charges of attempted homicide, discharging a firearm on public property, display and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a minor.
