A Pakistani-origin woman recently claimed on social networking platform LinkedIn that she had been laid off from electric vehicle manufacturing firm Tesla and said that despite losing her job, her face would stay on the company website as a reminder to what she had achieved during her time there.

"It was a privilege and an honor to work with the most dedicated people who poured their heart and soul into building charging technology and network that not only served Tesla drivers but also welcomed all EVs, making traveling with an EV a seamless experience for everyone," the woman wrote on the platform.

The woman revealed that more than 500 employees, including her, from the charging team at the firm had been laid off and she hoped that those who had been relieved would find the drive again at their future roles.

"Unfortunately, the Tesla Charging Team of 500+ people, including me, was dissolved tonight. A team that empowered me to do some of the best work of my career so far and entrusted me to lead high impact programs and teams for Tesla charging and the industry."

"Very hard to let go of people who were so dedicated to the mission, solving the hardest problems and making the seemingly impossible happen; inspiring me to do better everyday. It's a very high bar for excellence that we set for ourselves and the industry and I hope all of us are able to find that drive again in our future endeavours," the woman wrote.

The post saw a lot of comments from users, who said they were sorry to hear that she had lost her job and wished her well for her future.

"So sorry to hear this. I know something great is coming your way!" one user wrote.

"Very sorry to hear about this. All the best for your next move and wherever you go, I am sure you will make a huge positive impact!" another user wrote.
