"I lost my jobs, I lost my house. I have one foot in bankruptcy. Everything," actor says of his life after accusations first surfaced

Ahead of the premiere of the British documentary that delves into Kevin Spacey's history of allegedly inappropriate and exploitative behavior, the actor addressed some of the new accusations against him in a nearly two-hour video interview posted on social media.

The two-part Spacey Unmasked, which airs in the UK next week and features the testimony of 10 men — nine of whom have never spoken publicly before — who each bring allegations against Spacey, ranging from sexual harassment to a claim that the actor pleasured himself during a screening of Saving Private Ryan.

After declining to respond to Unmasked producers' request for comment, Spacey said he would instead respond to the allegations this weekend on social media, which he did in a lengthy interview with British reporter Dan Wootton.

"I take full responsibility for my past behavior and my actions," Spacey said in his interview. "But I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologize to anyone who's made up stuff about me or exaggerated stories about me."

Kevin Spacey finally gets his Right of Reply.

"I've got nothing left to hide - you are my jury."

Explaining why he declined to respond to producers — who gave the actor a week to comment — Spacey said he was provided a list of allegations against him but the accusers were left mostly anonymous. "To go back 48 years and expect me to respond within seven days is an unfair game they're playing," Spacey said.

As for the new allegations against him, Spacey called the majority of them "utter nonsense," including a claim that he prevented one of his accusers from leaving a room they were in together.

"I have been a promiscuous flirt, I have been annoying at time, definitely persistent, but I have never — not once — blocked someone from leaving the room or locked the door, never," Spacey said.

When asked what the allegations and subsequent court battles have taken from him, Spacey said, "Everything. I lost my jobs, I lost my house. I have one foot in bankruptcy. Everything."

The actor continued, "Nobody in Hollywood has ever presented a path back for me. There's no coursework material. I've been given no boxes to check, no nothing. It seems that some are content with just canceling me forever. It's a life sentence."

Spacey Unmasked airs on Channel 4 in the U.K. on May 6th and 7th and will later come to the U.S. on the Warner Bros.-owned Max, which prompte Spacey to issue a statement through his spokesperson last week, "I'm honored to be starring in my first film with Warner Brothers in many years. I hope the Academy takes note of some of the great acting by the lesser known cast."
